Arm Bands, Head bands and Lap laps.
Lap laps are used for dancing and ceremonies by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, they are used for cultural purposes the tradition has been passed on through generations. This item of clothing has three parts: a front flap, a back flap, and a thread to tie them around the waist. The sides are generally open.
Aboriginal people use headbands when representing their culture through dance and other cultural events. Some Aboriginal people would call it a good luck charm because they take the headband everywhere. Aboriginal people also use waist belts or arm bands to hold and carry small items such as a stone, knife, hatchet or other small items like a small lizard caught during the day could be tucked into the belt or band leaving the hands free.
Oche is also an important part of dance.
